Yusuf Erkek is a Turkish singer and songwriter. Born in the year 1978 in the hart of the Ruhr and raised in Mülheim, he in an early age felt enthusiastic about music, first in his family later then in front of a wider audience. His list of cooperation consist a wide-ranging repertoire of national and international stars. Beside German stars of pop like Bushido, Sido and Farid there are Turkish stars like Sezen Aksu, Ferhat Göcer, Caglavan Topaloglu, Ümit Besen, Hakan Altun and Gökan Özen. The decisive moment for his musical process was the encounter with Turkish-music-industry well known music teacher and music studio owner Fahrettin Günes. He offered him a first insight in professional music, later he took him on his band. First performances followed, that gave him a certain assured manner on stage. Although this stage presence put him under stress, he furthermore wrote and composed own songs. Mostly he drew the topics of events and experiences of his surroundings.
Both, times of happiness and times of deepest pain were source of inspiration. The next, for his musical process important encounter, was with music vocal couch Yasan Elmas. He knew how to entice an optimum of his voice. Thus his voice with every hour was getting better and better, and also his mode of expression improved. After this hard, but also nice instruction, he dared making professional studio productions. And he could be proud of results. Product of the large hours in studio was his first album “Diva”, on which stars like rapper Kay one and Manuellsen collaborated. Now, after a creative time out of five years, his new album “24/7” comes out.
